There’s a great piece in IEEE Spectrum magazine featuring The Hacktory and a little about the hackerspace movement in general. IEEE is the “world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.” Thanks to Dave Kushner for capturing our words and putting it together, though it’s interesting to see how the term “hacking” can be confused even in language. Just so you know we haven’t actually taken apart our kinect, but we have worked on hacking some software to use it with different programs that it wasn’t originally programmed for. As soon as we get that figured out though, heck, why not take it apart?
